Love the idea of The Backrooms as "endless inside, the endless empty." I wonder if they serve as a (retrospective) figure for our older anxieties about clicking through a Dead Internet alone, endless pages, chasing an elusive rabbit down the hole... but there's something nostalgic about that too, as that sort of hopeless endless 'room-browsing' has been replaced by the infinite scroll. Anyways: great read.
