loved this analysis! it reminded me of this book i read in my high school world history class called the world in 6 glasses which analyzed the role that different drinks played throughout different times

How easily these beverages offers moral relief is unsettling. Dash Water, the Stanley Cup, the adaptogen can: each becomes a proxy for care, letting us perform responsibility while sidestepping its cost.

If consumption can be framed as virtue, and packaging as worldview, what space is left for actual agency and response?
